Lisa Critchley is a Lecturer in University Preparation Pathways and Access Pathways within the School of Education at Murdoch University. As an Associate Lecturer under the PVCE Portfolio Access, she supports students in enabling programs designed to facilitate transition into higher education. Her expertise, as documented on the Murdoch University Research Portal, encompasses University Access, Health counselling, Cultic Studies, and Neurodiversity. These areas inform her dedication to student support and inclusivity on campus.
Dr Lisa Critchley has been acknowledged for her contributions to enhancing the first-year student experience, providing generous assistance to the Murdoch University First Year Advisor Network (FYAN). This role is noted in the 2014 practice report 'Enhancing the first year student experience through academic and professional staff collegiality: A Practice Report' published in The Journal of the First-Year Experience & Students in Transition. She serves as a representative in the university's Ally Network, promoting diversity and inclusion. In 2021, Dr Critchley was celebrated by the Australian Council for Student Equity in Higher Education (ACSES) as a champion for change, alongside Dr Mark Langdon and Dr Rebekah Sturniolo-Baker, for exceptional support to over 1,000 students annually. Earlier, she held a Research Assistant position at Murdoch University, as recorded in the ACID Annual Report 2005–06. Listed in the Murdoch University Annual Report 2024 as a University Preparation Pathways Lecturer, she continues to advance academic development and student retention initiatives.
