Lesley Day is the Assistant to the Director of the Healthier Lives research programme at the University of Otago's Department of Medicine in Dunedin. Healthier Lives, also known as He Oranga Hauora, is a National Science Challenge that aims to improve the prevention and treatment of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity, while achieving equitable health outcomes in Aotearoa New Zealand. The programme is led by Director Professor Jim Mann and supported by a team including Business Support Co-ordinator Claire Ashford, Manager Jean Cockram, and Science Communicator Cherie Stayner.
