She has co-authored publications such as "Launching the Urban STEM Collaboratory" (2020), "Surely You Must Be Joking, Mr. Twain! Reengaging Science Students through Visual Aesthetics" (2020), "Visual Expertise in Fluid Flows: Uncovering a Link Between Conceptual and Perceptual Expertise" (2020), "Setting a Better Default: Designing a Welcome Academy for New Faculty Centered on Inclusive Teaching in Engineering" (2024), "Board 216: Building Community for Inclusive Teaching: Can We Bridge the Valley of Neglect?" (2024), "Lessons Learned: Motivational Factors for Engineering Faculty Seeking Professional Development for Inclusive Teaching" (2024), and "Metaphors Matter: The Implicit Epistemology of How We Talk About Learning Engineering" (2025). Goodman leads efforts in NSF-funded projects to expand Learning Assistants to the College of Engineering, Design, and Computing. She was honored for promotion at the 2023 Annual Tenure and Promotion Lunch, served as a member on Grand Challenge Type II Planning Award teams for "Imaginator Academy" (2022) and "Get Outside!
