Justine Foster is a long-serving administrative professional at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. In her current role as Purchasing Officer for the North Hub within the Supply Chain division of Financial Services, she supports procurement and operational needs for departments across the northern campus, including those in sciences and health divisions. Her contributions ensure efficient supply chain management, facilitating academic and research activities. She can be reached at DDI +64 3 479 4095.
Prior to her current position, Justine Foster held the role of BMLSc Course Administrator for the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science programme in the Department of Pathology. In 2014, as part of the core BMLSc team led by Course Director Associate Professor Sarah Young, she worked alongside Lisa Gallagher for student placements and teaching, Cat Ronayne and Jenny Rhodes for teaching support. The team managed a programme with record enrolments that year, handling promotion, events such as the International Science Festival, Tertiary Open Day, careers evenings, student orientation, and the launch of a new website. By August 2020, she was part of the North Hub purchasing office supporting the Department of Biochemistry, collaborating with lead Jo Preston, Martin Quinn, and Claire Johnson in room G11.
