Joshua Shemesh is a Senior Lecturer of Finance in the Department of Banking and Finance at Monash Business School, part of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University, a role he has held since 2017. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Shemesh earned his PhD in finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. His research specializes in behavioural finance, integrating psychological insights to examine their influence on economic and financial decisions. He particularly investigates the effects of social status concerns in corporate, household, and analyst contexts.
