Huizhong (Jodie) Zhang serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Banking and Finance within the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University. She completed her PhD in Finance at the University of Adelaide. Prior to her appointment at Monash, Zhang held the position of Senior Lecturer at Queensland University of Technology. Her research interests include corporate finance, investment banking, international finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial intermediation. Zhang's current research explores how firms make investment decisions, with a particular focus on those involving mergers and acquisitions. She is based at the Caulfield campus and teaches units such as Financial Management Theory (BFF5925) and Advanced Business Finance (BFF3140). Additionally, she is accepting PhD students for supervision.
Zhang's scholarly contributions have been published in top-tier academic journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Finance, Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and Journal of Banking and Finance.
