Dr. Janine Muir is a Lecturer in Accounting at Swinburne University of Technology, within the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance in the School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship. Her research and teaching specializations include Auditing and Financial Crime Analysis. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy from Swinburne University of Technology between 2008 and 2013, with a thesis titled examining volunteer accounting in an unregulated environment. Muir has served as Course Director for the Bachelor of Accounting and Information Systems at the Hawthorn campus and has extensive experience in accounting education and coordination at Swinburne since 2005. She is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and has contributed to academic discourse through presentations on embedding non-technical skills into accounting curricula and overseas teaching in auditing as part of collaborative articulation programs.
