Dr. Jaime Duke, DNP, RN, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing within the College of Health Sciences at Montana State University Northern. She currently serves as Interim Dean of Health Sciences, a position to which she was appointed in August 2019, along with the role of Director of Nursing. Dr. Duke acts as the primary contact for the Healthcare Education program, which commenced courses in Summer 2022, aimed at preparing students for careers in health and wellness.
In her leadership capacity, Dr. Duke has contributed to significant developments in the nursing programs, including the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and RN-BSN Completion programs. University announcements highlight her involvement in upgrades to nursing facilities and curriculum, enhancing student preparation for clinical practice. In April 2024, as Interim Dean, she discussed these improvements in a video feature. She attended the ACEN Immersive Experience in July 2024 alongside colleagues Professor Jenni Pula and Professor Dr. Kasthuri Udayakumar. In August 2025, Dr. Duke acknowledged the establishment of the Walter & LaVonne Norman Endowed Scholarship for nursing students, stating it is transformational for students and healthcare in Montana. A faculty spotlight recognizes her expanded role in delivering advanced instruction and mentorship, readying students to manage complex trauma scenarios upon entering the healthcare field. Through these efforts, Dr. Duke supports the College of Health Sciences' commitment to producing skilled professionals for north central Montana and surrounding regions.
