Dr. Holly Rodwick is a Professor and Program Manager of Interior Design at Seminole State College of Florida, a position she has held since beginning her teaching career there in 2010. Prior to academia, she gained practical experience in the commercial interior design and architecture industry. Her academic credentials include a Doctorate of Philosophy in Architectural Studies from the University of Missouri, along with Bachelor and Master degrees in Interior Design from the University of Florida. In the classroom, Dr. Rodwick instructs students in key areas such as space planning, building codes, portfolio development, and evidence-based design applied to healthcare settings. Under her leadership, the Interior Design program, which offers Associate in Science and Bachelor of Applied Science degrees and is part of the School of Engineering, Design & Construction, maintains accreditation from the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), with the bachelor's program accredited through 2031.
Dr. Rodwick actively contributes to student experiential learning through initiatives like the annual Renovate to Educate program in collaboration with Addition Financial, where interior design students design and implement classroom makeovers for local teachers, providing real-world design experiences. She serves on the regional board for interior design educators, fostering connections between academia and industry. Furthermore, she has been appointed as a Faculty Ambassador for the 2025-26 High Impact Practices (HIPs) initiative at Seminole State College, focusing on collaborative projects and work-based learning opportunities, and is recognized in the HIPs Faculty Recognition and Course Directory for these efforts. Dr. Rodwick has received support through mini-grants from the college foundation, such as $1,000 for developing interior design brochures aimed at first-time-in-college recruiting in 2019 and $1,152.60 for construction site safety protection equipment. She engages in professional development by participating in faculty conferences, including the Winter Conference 2026 on ethical considerations in teaching and the Welcome Back 2025 conference.
