Associate Professor Harsha De Silva serves in the Department of Oral Diagnostic and Surgical Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago. His qualifications include BDS, MS, DClinDent, FDSRCS, and FFDRCS. As a clinical academic employed by the University of Otago, he holds a joint clinical consultant position with Te Whatu Ora Southern. His research specializations encompass clinical and systematic review-based research in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dento-alveolar surgery, maxillofacial trauma, dental implantology, and other clinical aspects of the specialty, with a special interest in the clinicopathological behaviour of oral potentially malignant disorders.
