Dr. Harry Kanasa is a Lecturer in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University, part of the Arts, Education and Law group. He earned a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Educational Studies, and a Doctor of Philosophy, with his PhD candidacy at The University of Queensland. Currently serving as Deputy Program Director, Kanasa specializes in science education and has been recognized as a STEM education specialist. His teaching emphasizes active learning, incorporating hands-on and minds-on approaches in courses such as science education practicals and STEM-related subjects.
Kanasa's research interests encompass food literacy, STEM education, science pedagogy, beach and emergency safety education for primary school children, and educational reform in junior secondary schooling.
