Eunice Tan, RN, BN, MNURS, is a lecturer and International Student Advisor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle campus. She joined the university in 2015 as a Sessional Tutor and Clinical Facilitator and has taught in many courses within the undergraduate nursing curriculum, including Nursing Care 2 - Fundamentals, Nursing Care 4 - Perioperative Nursing, and currently Health Assessment in Nursing. Tan holds a Bachelor of Nursing (BN) and Master of Nursing (MNURS) and is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Notre Dame Australia.
Prior to her academic roles, Tan worked as a Perioperative Registered Nurse in operating theatres at private and public hospitals, specialising in ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and general surgeries. Her publications include 'Surgical plume and its implications: A review of the risk and barriers to a safe work place' (2017), 'Leading through education: Undergraduate preparation to expand the future workforce' (2023), 'Exploring the barriers and enablers to nursing students choosing a career in perioperative nursing after completing a mandatory perioperative course and professional practice rotation: A qualitative study' (2024), and 'Exploring the perceived barriers and enablers to nursing students choosing a career in perioperative nursing.
