Ms Dunya Markovic is a Lecturer in Nursing at the School of Nursing and Midwifery within the College of Health at Adelaide University. Her professional email address is dunya.markovic@adelaide.edu.au. She holds a Master of Clinical Nursing (Leadership in Practice), a Bachelor of Nursing, and is a Registered Nurse. In her academic role, Markovic contributes to the education of nursing students through instruction in core undergraduate courses offered in 2025. These include NURS 1061 Experiential Learning Activity: Preparation for Clinical Practice Practicum 1, NURS 2023 Health of Adults, NURS 2040 Assessment, Diagnostics and Pharmacotherapeutics, and NURS 3056 Transition to Professional Practice, delivered at the Adelaide City Campus East.
Markovic's research output includes the peer-reviewed journal article titled 'Nursing Care of Adults With a Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) or Midline Catheter in the Home: Clinical Management and Health Consumer Support,' co-authored with Rebecca Sharp and Remy Boyes. Published in Home Healthcare Now (volume 43, issue 5, pages 272-279, 2025), this work details clinical management strategies, complication prevention, and health consumer support for patients using PICCs or midline catheters in home settings. Through her teaching and scholarly contributions, Markovic supports the advancement of nursing practice and education at Adelaide University, which was formed from the merger of the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia.
