Dr. Ahmed F. Khalifa serves as Assistant Professor of Criminal Law and International Criminal Law in the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University. He holds a PhD in International Criminal Law from Poitiers University in France and an LLM focusing on International Human Rights Law from Temple University in the United States. His research interests encompass international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and comparative criminal law.
Since 2014, Dr. Khalifa has served as Deputy Secretary General of the International Association of Penal Law. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Siracusa International Institute for Criminal Justice and Human Rights in Italy. Since 2015, he has acted as the Middle East Regional Coordinator for the University of Oxford Price Media Moot Court Competition. Dr. Khalifa works as an expert consultant with the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in the MENA region, UNICEF, and the World Bank in Egypt. He previously served as a full-time in-house legal consultant with the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute in Torino, Italy.
