Dr. David A. Jordan is an adjunct professor in Clark University’s School of Business, having taught there since 2003. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island, a Master of Arts in Special Education from Salve Regina University, a Master of Public Administration from Clark University earned in 2002, and a Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. He also completed executive seminars at the Harvard Graduate School of Business and the Harvard School of Public Health focusing on social entrepreneurship, healthcare disparities, policy, and nonprofit leadership.
Throughout his career, Jordan served as President and CEO of the Seven Hills Foundation & Affiliates for 28 years beginning in 1995, managing a portfolio of over 300 clinics, schools, and facilities across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and eight developing countries with an annual budget exceeding $340 million. He is the founder and president of Seven Hills Global Outreach, Inc., promoting sustainable community development worldwide. In 2007, Clark University named him its first Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence. From August 2023 to June 2025, he was interim and then permanent Dean of the School of Business, overseeing achievements such as a top 100 U.S. News & World Report MBA ranking, launch of STEM-designated programs in healthcare analytics, marketing analytics, accounting analytics, and an undergraduate accounting program, expansion of international partnerships, and revitalization of the Small Business Development Center.
Jordan’s academic interests center on strategic management, public policy and administration, healthcare administration, strategic marketing, and social entrepreneurship. Since 2009, he has led experiential learning trips for Clark students to countries including Ghana, Guatemala, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Kenya, Jamaica, Brazil, and Haiti, fostering global citizenship and social innovation. His contributions have been recognized by the Worcester Business Journal as Business Leader of the Year in the nonprofit category in 2002, one of the Top 15 Entrepreneurs in 2007, and among the 50 most influential people in Central Massachusetts in 2019 and 2021.
