Dr. Dariush Douraghi-Zadeh is an Adjunct Lecturer at Peninsula Clinical School in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. He is a consultant radiologist with specialist interests in abdominal, oncological, and interventional radiology. Dariush graduated with distinction in medicine from St George’s Hospital, University of London, obtaining his BSc MBBS. He completed his radiology training at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London and holds the qualifications FRCR and FRANZCR.
Dr. Douraghi-Zadeh pursued advanced subspecialty training through fellowships in oncological imaging at The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, and interventional radiology fellowships at Austin Hospital in Melbourne and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He currently works as a diagnostic and interventional radiologist at Peninsula Health. His research specializations encompass abdominal radiology, oncological radiology, and interventional radiology. Key publications include 'Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO): Radiographic appearances, complications and imaging artefacts for radiologists' (2021, Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology), co-authored with Anthony Logaraj and Olga Lazoura; 'A combined pulmonary function and emphysema score prognostic model for early computed tomography screening in smokers' (2014); and 'Transverse colon volvulus and the wandering liver' (2023), detailing a rare case with imaging findings. These works highlight his contributions to radiographic interpretation in complex clinical scenarios.
