Clinton In't Veld serves as a Casual Academic in the School of Design and the Built Environment within the Faculty of Humanities at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He holds the role of Unit Coordinator and Lecturer for key units in the Master of Project Management program, including PRJM6010 Project and People (Semester 2, 2024) and PRJM6002 Project Time Management (Semester 2, 2022). These courses cover essential topics such as effective people management in projects, time management strategies, and practical application of project management principles. In't Veld is located in Building 202 Art on the Curtin Perth campus and can be contacted via telephone at +61 8 9266 2400. His contributions extend to professional development, where he facilitates the 'Delivering Strategy with Agile' workshop. This session explores Agile methodologies in context, popular frameworks and structures, hands-on Agile simulations, and strategies for integrating Agile into business operations.
In 2021, In't Veld authored a qualitative research paper titled 'Agile Adoption and the Impacts on Traditional Project Management Competencies: A Qualitative Research,' conducted while affiliated with Curtin University. The study involved 19 semi-structured interviews with project management professionals and a systematic review of relevant literature. It investigates the effects of widespread Agile adoption across industries on traditional project management competencies, including knowledge areas, performance capabilities, and personal skills. Findings reveal that Agile practices have notably altered these competencies, countering assumptions that traditionally trained project managers can transition effortlessly to Agile project leadership roles. In't Veld maintains active involvement with the Project Management Institute (PMI) Western Australia chapter, as noted in their 2022 and 2024 annual reports. His practical expertise supports student-industry engagement events, such as project management showcases and panel discussions hosted at Curtin University.
