Christina Reimer, MD, MACP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine-Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine. She serves as Assistant Dean for the Fort Collins Regional Medical Campus, overseeing the branch campus program, including its startup and interprofessional education on the Anschutz Medical Campus. Reimer also acts as Program Liaison for the School of Medicine - Ft. Collins MD Program within the Office of Disability, Access, and Inclusion. As an ambulatory general internal medicine physician, she provides primary care for adults at the UCHealth Snow Mesa Internal Medicine clinic in Fort Collins.
Reimer earned her undergraduate degree from Augustana College in South Dakota and her MD from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. She completed residency training, serving as chief resident, at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, followed by a fellowship in primary care faculty development at Michigan State University. Before moving to Colorado in 2008, she held faculty positions and worked in graduate medical education at the University of Kansas and the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. Reimer maintains active leadership involvement at UCHealth and the American College of Physicians, valuing physician and student participation in community leadership roles on behalf of patients. She interacts with medical students in classroom and clinical environments, role-modeling excellence in patient-centered care and supporting individualized career exploration and wellbeing.
Her contributions to medical education scholarship include co-authorship on 'Use of a Mock Week as a Novel Tool for Evaluating and Implementing Reformed Medical Curriculum at a Nascent Branch Campus' by Kelp N et al., published in the Journal of Regional Medical Campuses (2021), and 'The One Health Trail: Physician Leaders as Advocates for Human, Animal, and Environmental Health' by Habermehl N et al., published in Frontiers in Medicine (2025). Reimer holds Mastership in the American College of Physicians (MACP), recognizing her sustained contributions to internal medicine and education.
