Chris Youngson is the Producer of Educational Media at the University of Otago's Centre for Educational Design and Innovation (CEDI), located within the Academic Division in Dunedin. In this capacity, he plays a key role in producing and editing multimedia content to support educational initiatives, academic teaching development, and student learning resources. CEDI focuses on advancing educational design, innovation, academic integrity, emerging technologies, and learner success through various programs including student academic skills development and media production services.
Youngson has contributed to several university projects, including providing support for format shifting and editing on the digital film 'Half a million books and counting,' which documents library usage by a family. He edited a video for the He Honoka Hauwai outreach project featuring Yoyo Wu discussing H2 dual-fuel trucks from HWR Hydrogen, recorded by Michael Bennington. Additionally, his media production work has supported events such as those by Health Sciences at Otago, including physiotherapy school activities with video credits attributed to Otago's Media Production Team. Youngson's efforts enhance the university's capacity to deliver engaging visual content for teaching, outreach, and promotional purposes.
