Chin-Mei Chou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Tourism, Leisure, and Health at Deh Yu College of Nursing and Health, formerly Ching Kuo Institute of Management and Health. She earned her PhD from the Business PhD Program, College of Business, Chung Yuan Christian University, and her Master's degree from the Graduate Institute of Tourism, Shih Hsin University. Her professional career encompasses significant academic and administrative roles at the institution, including Vice President, Dean of Academic Affairs, Assistant Professor and Director of the Continuing Education Department, and Head of the International Affairs Section in the Research and Development Office during its time as Ching Kuo Management and Health College. Prior to academia, she served as Marketing Manager at Far Eastern Air Transport, Assistant Manager in the Marketing Division at Perception Technology Co., Ltd., and Supervisor at Yang-Tai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. She also holds part-time lecturing positions at institutions such as National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences and Jing-Wen University of Science and Technology, and serves as an external lecturer for tour guide and leader licensing courses at Taipei City Vocational Development College.
Chou's research focuses on air transportation, tourism marketing, cultural tourism, and local revitalization. Her key publications include 'Role of Monetary Policy in the Nonlinearity and Persistent Effect of Inbound Tourism in Taiwan' (Taiwan Journal of Applied Economics, 2024), 'The Nonlinear Effect of Corporate Social Responsibility on Firm Performance Persistence' (Taiwan Journal of Applied Economics, 2023), 'The non-linear impact of oil price on the oil demand' (Applied Economics, 2020), 'Investigation of Enterprise Value Using Information Transparency: The Case of Optoelectronic Industry' (Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance, 2019), and 'Month-of-the-Year Effect Analysis on Taiwan’s 28 Major Industry Stocks' (The Journal of Private Equity, 2018). She has hosted projects such as the Ministry of Science and Technology special project on nonlinearity and persistence effects in inbound tourism (2020-2021) and Ministry of Education University Social Responsibility plans. Chou has received Outstanding Teaching Awards for the 112 and 113 academic years and serves as a peer reviewer for TSSCI and SSCI journals including Applied Economics Forum, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Current Issues in Tourism. She possesses professional certifications in artificial intelligence applications, travel industry systems, and tour leadership.
