Anita Pennathur serves as Chair of the Finance Department, Stone Fellow, and O'Maley Distinguished Professor in the Business & Economics faculty at Florida Atlantic University. She earned a PhD in Finance from The University of Alabama in 1998 and a BS in Accounting from St. Francis College. Her research specializations encompass international financial market integration, developing countries and economic development, and the performance, governance, and regulation of multinational institutions and markets. Pennathur joined Florida Atlantic University as Assistant Professor of Finance in 2007, advancing to Associate Professor in 2013 and later to full Professor, while taking on leadership roles including interim chair of the Finance Department.
Pennathur has garnered recognition through competitive awards such as the Stone Fellow, O'Maley Distinguished Professor, and multiple FAU College of Business Summer Research Awards in 2020, 2019, 2014, and others.
