L. Abbigail Granger is Professor of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, Louisiana State University. She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Tennessee in 2007 and her Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Memphis in 2003. A Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology, Granger specializes in advanced imaging techniques. Her research interests encompass functional computed tomography (CT), thoracic CT with a focus on airways and interstitial disease, ultrasound applications in endocrine diseases, correlation of ultrasound findings with pathological outcomes, and inter-service collaborations. She teaches radiographic interpretation, ultrasound performance and interpretation at basic, intermediate, and expert levels, and research methods. Granger has received numerous accolades for her teaching and scholarly contributions, including Dean's Teacher Merit Honor Rolls for Years 1 and 3 in 2020 and 2019, Years 1 and 2 in 2018 and 2017, Years 1 and 4 in 2014, and Years 1 and 2 in 2015; the Phi Kappa Phi non-tenured faculty award in 2016; second place poster presentation award in 2019; American College of Veterinary Radiology Resident Author Award in 2012; and National Veterinary Honor Society recognition in 2012.
