Senior Programme Officer
About the role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Programme Officer (SPO) to support the delivery of two brand new postgraduate taught programmes: the newly developed MSc Healthcare Management and the MSc Cardiorespiratory Care programme. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of these programmes.
Working as part of a wider professional services team, the SPO will take ownership of core operational activity across the entire student lifecycle, from enrolment through to graduation. The post holder will play a key role in coordinating processes, maintaining service continuity, and identifying and mitigating potential risks to programme delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, and student-focused support to both academic colleagues and students, ensuring that administrative systems and processes are efficient and aligned with best practice.
While the primary focus will be on these two programmes, the role will also contribute more broadly across NMPC PGT programme administration where needed.
The post holder will also line-manage one Programme Officer.
In addition, the SPO will support faculty-wide priorities to streamline and standardise processes across postgraduate taught (PGT) post-qualification provision. This will involve working collaboratively with colleagues to improve consistency, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in programme delivery.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative postgraduate education provision. The ideal candidate will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment, alongside a commitment to delivering high-quality programme administration.
This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 2 years.
Location: Hybrid – minimum of 2 days per week on campus (Waterloo)
