The Department of Physics, School of Arts and Sciences-Newark, Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), is seeking part-time instructors (Lecturer/Coadjutant) for the Fall 2026 semester to teach physics surveys, recitations, laboratories, or upper-level courses focused on specific themes or topics.
The successful candidate will cover the full range of duties associated with teaching, including, but not limited to: Preparing course material. Creating and posting a course syllabus. Presenting material during the assigned course times. Holding office hours and providing appropriate out-of-class time for students. Responding to student e-mails. Conducting and grading assessments of students through assignments, exams, and other means, in a timely manner. Submitting final grades.
Course appointments may require instruction during the day, in the evenings, on weekends, off-campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination of these, based on the academic needs of the department/unit.
