About the opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic leader to head the University's research analytics function. As the Associate Director, Research Analytics, you will provide the insights and evidence that underpin executive decision-making, enhance research performance, and support the delivery of the University's strategic priorities.
Working closely with academic and professional leaders across the institution, you will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement in research reporting and analytics, and oversee institutional benchmarking, government reporting and performance evaluation to help advance a culture of research excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead improvements in reporting and system automation to ensure it is effectively meeting the needs of researchers, the Executive and government reporting requirements.
- Deliver strategic analytics, benchmarking and performance insights to inform decision-making and strengthen research excellence.
- Lead university’s efforts in strategic initiatives like institutional research impact, world rankings, internal and external stakeholder engagement, and preparation of executive briefing papers.
- Lead government reporting and external research assessment activities, ensuring compliance and alignment with the University's strategic objectives.
About You:
You are a collaborative and influential leader with extensive experience in research analytics, reporting or research management within a higher education, research or similarly complex environment. A research background, supported by postgraduate research qualifications and/or significant relevant professional experience, will be highly regarded.
