Rate My Professor Werner Fritz

Professor Werner Fritz serves in Computer Science at Fachhochschule JOANNEUM, where he holds the position of Head of the Institute for Business Informatics and Data Science. He also leads the degree programmes in Business Informatics, IT Architecture, and Software and Digital Experience Engineering. He graduated with the degree of Diplom-Ingenieur from the Technical Mathematics programme, branch Information and Data Processing, at Graz University of Technology in 1985. From 1984 to 1985 he worked as a tutor at the Institute for Information Processing and Computer Supported New Media at Graz University of Technology. Between 1985 and 1998 he was employed as a research assistant at JOANNEUM RESEARCH, serving at the institutes for Information Systems and for Technology Consulting and Project Management, and additionally heading the quality management staff unit from 1996 to 1998.

Since August 1998 Professor Fritz has directed the degree programme in Information Management, later known as Business Informatics, together with the affiliated transfer centre for applied research and development activities at FH JOANNEUM. His teaching, professional and research activities focus on the areas of customer orientation, quality management and project management. He previously served as Vice-Rector of FH JOANNEUM.
