Professor Wafaa El Sehly serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Beirut Arab University. In this capacity, she leads the academic programs including the MBBCh undergraduate medical education, graduate residency training, and oversees key facilities such as the Histo-Pathology Lab, Medical Research Lab, Diagnostic Physiology Center, and Clinical Simulation Center. Professor El Sehly's research focuses on forensic medicine, toxicology, and clinical quality improvement. Her publications include 'Stillborn or liveborn? Potential diagnostic role of gross pathological findings in lungs' co-authored with Asmaa El-Banna and Rania Ali; work on improving safety in intrahospital transport for critically ill patients with M. Megahed, A. Dahroug, and N. El-Shamy; and 'Application of new Alexandria quality checklist in intensive care units in Alexandria Main University Hospital and its effect on patients' outcome' (2017) with Mohamed Megahed and Islam Hassan. Earlier affiliations include the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University, where she contributed to the ESTP congress in 2009. She holds an MD and is a member of the Lebanese Order of Physicians and the Lebanese American Medical Association.
