Dr Vrushali Sanap is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Allied Health and Human Performance, College of Health, at Adelaide University. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in India in 1997. In 2013, she completed her Fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine in Australia and became a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM) and the Faculty of the Australasian College of Physicians (RACP). She also holds the position of Associate Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Medical Administration (AFRACMA). Previously, she served as a senior lecturer at the University of Adelaide. Her professional contributions extend to clinical and educational roles in rehabilitation medicine.
Dr Sanap has practiced as a Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine at Modbury Hospital in South Australia since 2013. She works as a Visiting Medical Specialist at Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, and Western Hospital. She provides comprehensive rehabilitation services in acute settings, including in-reach rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, rehabilitation in the home programs, and outpatient services. Her clinical experience covers patients with medical-neurological conditions, non-neurological medical conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs such as bariatric surgery recovery, orthopaedics, cardiac rehabilitation, spinal conditions, vascular rehabilitation, and multi-trauma care. She is part of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network's rehabilitation services and serves as an accredited long case assessor for paediatric rehabilitation with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine until May 2026. Additionally, Dr Sanap co-authored a 2022 conference abstract on the role of WhatsApp in continuing medical education amongst RACMA members in South Australia, affiliated with Calvary Group of Hospitals and Modbury Hospital.
