Dr Vinh To is a Senior Lecturer in English Curriculum and Pedagogy and Graduate Research Coordinator in the School of Education at the University of Tasmania. She joined the university in 2012 as a PhD candidate and completed her Doctor of Philosophy in 2015 with a thesis examining linguistic complexity in English textbooks from a functional grammar perspective. Her research focuses on educational and applied linguistics, with particular interests in English literacy, TESOL education, linguistic complexity analysis of textbooks, critical literacy practices, persuasive writing development, and the benefits of teaching Vietnamese to preschool children in Australian contexts. Dr To has contributed to advancing knowledge in student writing development and language learning through her expertise in educational linguistics and online education.
