Vesna Sampson is an Associate Lecturer in the Management & Marketing discipline within the Murdoch Business School at Murdoch University. Located at room 512.2.037, she contributes to the academic staff in delivering education in business-related fields. Recognized as Dr Vesna Sampson, she is a dedicated member of the University's Sustainability Committee, supporting initiatives that integrate sustainability across campus activities. Her involvement underscores a commitment to embedding sustainable practices within business education and operations.
In 2025, Vesna Sampson, alongside Simon Minaee, received the College of Arts, Business, Law and Social Sciences Award for Programs Enhancing Student Success. This accolade acknowledged their innovative redesign of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation major, enhancing student learning outcomes through updated curricula and teaching approaches. Furthermore, Sampson served as Murdoch University's PRME representative in the 2024 Student Doing Good SDG Challenge. Hosted by the Murdoch Business School and Sustainability team in collaboration with Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, University of Western Australia, and the City of Fremantle, the event challenged students to envision a sustainable Fremantle in 2045 aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. As PRME representative, she participated with peers from partner institutions, including Dr Donella Caspersz from UWA, Dr Dilhani Kapu Arachchilage from ECU, and Dr Robyn Ouschan from Curtin, supporting students during hands-on Day 2 activities. These activities involved group work on critical themes such as energy, housing, transportation, infrastructure, culture, food security, biodiversity, sustainability, and synergy, fostering systems thinking, circular economy principles, and interconnections across all 17 SDGs using tools like the Social Impact Wheel. Murdoch University championed SDG 15 (Life on Land) in this initiative, promoting holistic approaches to urban sustainability.
