Rate My Professor T.T. Mirnalinee

Dr. T. T. Mirnalinee is a Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering (SSN), Chennai, India. She received her B.E. degree from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, M.E. degree from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. In her academic career at SSN, she has supervised seven research scholars to successful Ph.D. completion and is currently guiding seven more. She has completed three research projects, published a patent titled “An Effective Frequency Provisioning Method for Scalable Devices in NB-IoT Platform” with the Indian Patent Office, and authored approximately 80 papers in international journals and conferences. Dr. Mirnalinee has reviewed papers for international journals, chaired sessions at conferences, and organized workshops and training programs for faculty and students.

Her research interests include computer vision, machine learning, green networks, and software defined networks. Notable publications encompass "Use of salient features for the design of a multistage framework to extract roads from high-resolution multispectral satellite images" (IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2011), "Computers in manufacturing: towards successful implementation of integrated automation system" (Technovation, 2005), "A novel dynamic data replication strategy to improve access efficiency of cloud storage" (Information Systems and e-Business Management, 2020), and "Emotion analysis on text using multiple kernel gaussian" (Neural Processing Letters, 2021). She has received the Best Paper Award from the Journal of Indian Society of Remote Sensing at the National Symposium on “Space technology for food and environment security” in New Delhi and the Best Faculty Award at SSN instituted by Cognizant in 2018. Dr. Mirnalinee serves as a member of the Board of Studies for Anna University and affiliated autonomous institutions, the Planning and Monitoring Board of Janson’s Institute of Technology, and the Department Advisory Committee at RMK Engineering College. She is also a Margadarshak under AICTE’s scheme, mentoring the Academy of Maritime Education and Training Deemed to be University, and holds memberships in ACM, IEEE, and the Computer Society of India (CSI).
