Associate Professor Tino Mercado serves in the Department of Oral Sciences within the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Otago. He holds qualifications including DocMedDent, GCClinDent, MDSc, PhD, MRACDS, FICD, FPFA, and FITI. His academic background encompasses training in oral pathology and periodontology, with his PhD focused on the regenerative management of peri-implantitis and the treatment of recession defects around teeth and implants using autogenous and alternative tissues combined with biologically active products.
