Challenges students to grow and excel.
Tim Manning serves as Trades Assistant and Storekeeper in Property Services at the University of Otago's Dunedin campus. He manages the Recycling Centre, also referred to as the Used Furniture Store, located at 96 Anzac Avenue with entrance off Parry St West. This facility stores unwanted furniture and items from campus departments, making them available for reuse by other departments and staff, thereby supporting sustainability and cost-saving initiatives. The centre is open by appointment from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Monday to Friday. Departments submit works requests for item returns and Property Services request forms for collections or deliveries coordinated with the Transport Unit.
In addition to furniture recycling, Manning supports campus-wide waste management, including fortnightly paper bin collections on designated days throughout the campus. His contributions aid the University's efforts in resource efficiency and environmental responsibility.
