About Tiho

Tiho Ancev is a Professor of Agricultural and Resource Economics in the School of Economics at the University of Sydney. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Saints Cyril and Methodius University, a Master’s degree from the University of Iceland, and a PhD from Oklahoma State University. Joining the University of Sydney in 2003, he has built a distinguished career focused on advancing knowledge in key economic domains. His research specializations encompass agricultural economics, environmental economics, natural resource economics, and energy economics. Specific areas of contribution include water economics and policy, economics of energy markets and renewable transitions, air pollution and climate change policies, precision agriculture, agricultural input use, irrigation efficiency, salinity management, greenhouse gas emissions regulation, and productivity measurement that accounts for environmental impacts.
