Tammy Richmond, CPA, serves as Assistant Professor of Accounting and Chair of the Department of Business at Bethany College in Bethany, West Virginia. She joined the faculty in 2021, beginning as Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting before advancing to her current leadership role. Richmond holds a B.S. from West Liberty University, an M.B.A., and an M.S. from Wheeling University. Certified as a Public Accountant, she applies her professional credentials in teaching accounting and business courses. Her office is located in Morlan Hall, room 102, with contact available at 304.829.7085. As department chair and advisor for Accounting and Business Administration majors, Richmond guides students through their academic programs and career preparation.
Richmond has led significant developments within the Department of Business, including a 2025 realignment that introduced two new program tracks. She stated, “Bethany has a long tradition of preparing students for leadership in business,” and emphasized that “these changes ensure we’re not just keeping pace with the market—but anticipating it, so our students graduate with the skills and credentials employers truly want.” She has been a key figure in the creation of Bethany Online’s Master of Business Administration program. Her leadership and contributions earned her the Presidential Faculty Award, presented by President Caridi and featured in the Spring 2025 edition of Bethany Today Magazine. Additionally, at the Fall Convocation, she received the Faculty Award in recognition of her role in expanding online education offerings. Richmond is associated with the Accounting Bachelor's Degree Program as well as Business, Management, and Marketing programs, supporting Bethany College's mission to deliver practical business education.
