Professor Tadeusz Telejko is a full professor (prof. dr hab. inż.) at AGH University of Krakow, where he has spent his entire professional career affiliated with the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science. He held the position of Head of the Department of Heat Engineering and Environmental Protection. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Deputy Dean for Scientific Research and Finance of the faculty. He was then elected Dean for two consecutive terms, from 2012 to 2016 and 2016 to 2020. Since 2020, he has been Vice-Rector for General Affairs, overseeing general university matters during the 2020–2024 and 2024–2028 terms. Telejko chaired the Discipline Council for Materials Engineering at AGH. He was a member of the Scientific Council of the Academic Centre of Materials and Nanotechnology from 2013 to 2016, the Committee on Metallurgy of the Polish Academy of Sciences from 2016 to 2020, the Presidium of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy in Gliwice, and the Scientific Council of the Institute of Plastic Working in Poznań. Additionally, he contributed to public service as a member of the Kraków Advisory Council under the President of Kraków and chaired the Program Council for District Heating of Kraków from 2007 to 2011, followed by the Program Council for Energy Management of Kraków.
Telejko's academic interests center on heat transfer and its modeling, particularly in high-temperature industrial processes such as those in metallurgical furnaces, quenching, and cooling systems. He is the author or co-author of four books and approximately 150 scientific publications in peer-reviewed domestic and international journals, as well as conference proceedings. He has led or executed several dozen scientific and research projects. As a supervisor, he has guided four doctoral theses and numerous engineering and master's theses, influencing the next generation of engineers in materials and heat engineering fields.
