Prof. Sushila Kumari Soriya serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Commerce at Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh. She also holds the position of Subject Coordinator for Commerce at the Centre for Distance and Online Education. Her academic qualifications include a Ph.D. on the topic 'Intellectual capital reporting system in Indian corporate sector' awarded in 2013 from Haryana School of Business, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar; M.Com from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra; B.Com (Banking Honours) from Manipur University; and UGC-NET qualification. Prior to her current role, she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at Central University of Rajasthan for more than nine years. During that period, she worked as Project Fellow in a UGC-sponsored Major Research Project from February 2010 to July 2012 and served as Co-Director of an ICSSR IMPRESS project titled 'Digitization Enabling Delhi MSMEs to Scale Up for Inclusive Growth'.
Prof. Soriya's research specializations are Accounting, Finance, and General Management. She is currently the Project Director for an ICSSR Major Research Project entitled 'Empowering MSME through Fintech Solutions'. Her publication record is substantial, encompassing 27 international research papers, 6 national research papers, 1 book, and 3 book chapters. Key recent contributions include the book chapter 'Reducing and Offsetting Carbon Emissions: Pathways to a Sustainable Future' co-authored with Suman Dahiya and Bhushan Singh, published in the Springer volume Digital Currencies and the Green Economy in 2025, and a 2025 paper titled 'Fostering competitiveness of Indian MSMEs through IT and digital technologies'. She has actively contributed to academic conferences such as ANVESH-2020 Doctoral Research Conference in Management and international events on sustainability and Viksit Bharat. At Central University of Haryana, she participates in the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, organizes conferences, and holds roles in various administrative committees, supporting the institution's academic and research initiatives.
