About Sunita

Dr. Sunita Verma serves as Professor and Dean of Student Welfare at Asian Business School in Noida, with a specialization in HR and General Management. She earned her Ph.D. in Employee Engagement from the School of Business and Management at Jaipur National University, focusing on the antecedents and consequences of employee engagement in the organized retail sector. Her academic qualifications include an MBA, UGC-NET in Labour Welfare and Industrial Relations, a postgraduate degree in HR and Marketing, and a degree in Commercial Secretarial Practice from the Commercial Secretarial Institute in Delhi. She also completed the NPTEL course on Organizational Development and Change in the 21st Century from IIT Bombay. With over 12 years of professional experience spanning corporate and academia, Dr. Verma has held positions at MPS, Vodafone, Tata Indicom, and Cottage Emporium prior to joining Asian Business School in August 2012, where she has progressed from Associate Professor to her current role.

Dr. Verma's research interests center on human resources, particularly employee engagement. Her contributions include the case study Blooms with a Purpose: A Deep Dive into Phool.co's Social and Environmental Impact and The Chaotic Growth of Open AI: From Non-Profit Beginnings to Billion-Dollar Battles, published in Cases in Business: A Collection of Cases in New Paradigms of Business Management in 2024. She co-authored the paper To Study the Impact of ChatGPT Tool on Academic Learning, published in 2024. A certified trainer for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH), she conducts training for Internal Committee members and awareness programs.
