About Suma

Suma Akther is an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the BBA program in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business Administration at The People's University of Bangladesh. She earned a BBA and an MBA, both majoring in Marketing, from the University of Dhaka, and has submitted her PhD thesis at the University of Dhaka. Her research interests include Marketing Management, Services Marketing, and Consumer Behavior. In her administrative role, Akther oversees the BBA program and contributes to graduate offerings such as the MBA Executive program.

Akther has published peer-reviewed articles and has several manuscripts submitted to academic journals. Her published works include “The Threat of Tourism Industry in Bangladesh-A Hotel Industry Perspective” in the Journal of Bangladesh Research Publications (ISSN: 1998-2003, Volume-8, Issue-4, July-August 2013) and “User’s Level Satisfaction of Banglalink” in the Journal of Business Review Bangladesh (ISSN: 2224-1884, Volume-3, No-1, July 2014).
