About Sujata

Prof. Sujata Saha serves as Professor and Teacher Incharge of the Department of Education at Vasanta College for Women, Rajghat, Varanasi, an institution affiliated with Banaras Hindu University. She joined the college on February 19, 2004, and advanced to the rank of Professor in 2021-22 through the University Grants Commission Career Advancement Scheme, marking over two decades of dedicated service in teacher education. The Department of Education, under her leadership, offers undergraduate B.Ed. and postgraduate M.Ed. programs, focusing on preparing educators through rigorous academic training.

Prof. Saha holds advanced degrees including M.A. in Economics and Hindi, LL.B., M.Ed. (Gold Medalist), NET JRF, and Ph.D. in Education. Her scholarly contributions include the book Indian Women Thinkers in the Contemporary Indian Society, published by Kanishka Publishers & Distributors, New Delhi, in 2021. She has developed e-content for M.Ed. courses, such as MED 102 on Stress and Somatoform Disorders, and MED 201 on Multicultural Education and Hidden Curriculum, demonstrating her engagement with topics in educational psychology and inclusive pedagogy. As Teacher Incharge, she has overseen departmental initiatives including the Seven Days Virtual National Workshop on Language Teaching held from April 10 to 16, 2022, and the National Workshop on Research Methodology from March 9 to 14, 2022.
