Stephanie Montesanti is a Professor in the School of Public Health at the University of Alberta. She holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Health System Integration. Her research specializes in health policy and systems research, with a focus on patient and public engagement and the integration of care for individuals experiencing domestic violence to ensure access to appropriate services when and where needed.
Dr. Montesanti earned her PhD in Health Policy along with a Graduate Diploma Certificate in Health Services and Policy Research from McMaster University. She also holds an MA and a BA (honours). She serves as Director of the CARE Research Lab. She has been recognized with the Tier 2 Canada Research Chair appointment and as a winner of the 2025 PWHR award.
