Stacey Lucich serves as Assistant Teaching Professor of Business Law in the Department of Finance and Insurance at Ball State University’s Miller College of Business, a position she has held since January 2022. She teaches undergraduate courses including Principles of Business Law (BL 260) and Principles of Estate Planning (BL 367). Her academic background includes an LL.M. in Estate Planning and Elder Law from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts (May 2012), a J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law in Moscow, Idaho (May 2009), an M.F.A. in Film from Boston University College of Communication (May 1999), and a B.A. in History from the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho (June 1996). Lucich is a member of the Idaho State Bar since 2009. She has held leadership roles such as President (2014-2015) and Vice President (2012-2014) of the Magic Valley Estate Planning Council in Twin Falls, Idaho, and served as Board Chairperson (2020-2022), member of the Board of Trustees (2018-2022), and Legal Advisor (2009-2022) for Cathedral Pines Camp in Ketchum, Idaho.
Prior to academia, Lucich owned and operated Legacy Planning Center Law Firm, a boutique practice in Twin Falls, Idaho, from October 2009 to December 2021, specializing in estate planning and probate. She represented and advised hundreds of clients, including seniors, widows, young families, non-traditional couples, minorities, retirees, and special needs individuals, overseeing more than $100 million in total estate and trust assets. Lucich collaborated with community leaders in education, financial services, non-profits, and local industry to address public inquiries on business, financial, and estate planning. She developed and presented estate-planning content via workshops, seminars, college classes, community education classes, webinars, newsletters, brochures, and blog articles. Earlier, she was Lead Counsel and Principal Researcher at Legacy Assurance Group, LLC (February 2010–March 2011), Business Manager at Assist-2-Sell Buyers & Sellers Realty (January 2004–September 2009), where she tripled market share and increased sales nearly 500%, and at Hewlett-Packard in Boise, Idaho, as Test Lab Manager (July 2002–December 2003) and Test Writer/Data Analyst (August 2000–July 2002), enhancing testing efficiency and throughput.
