Rate My Professor Srinivas Sethi

Dr. Srinivas Sethi serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science Engineering and Applications at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology, Sarang, Dhenkanal, Odisha. He earned his Ph.D. in routing algorithms in mobile ad hoc networks and has been actively involved in teaching and research at the institution since 1997. His academic career encompasses leadership in the department, supervision of eight theses, and execution of research and consultancy projects funded by agencies including DRDO, DST, AICTE, and NPIU. Dr. Sethi has organized five international conferences and six national conferences, workshops, and seminars at IGIT Sarang. He has served on program committees and as technical chair for 27 international conferences and workshops, delivered over 100 invited talks, and contributed as a member of editorial boards for various journals.

Dr. Sethi's research specializations include ad hoc networks, sensor networks, cognitive radio networks, crowd sensing, cloud computing, big data, brain-computer interfaces, and cognitive science. He has authored more than 80 research papers in international journals and conference proceedings, edited four international conference proceedings published by Springer and Taylor & Francis, and authored two books. His scholarly work demonstrates significant impact in the field of computer science engineering, with contributions to wireless communications, networking, and emerging technologies. Additionally, Dr. Sethi has undertaken key governmental assignments, including membership in OJEE for 2006 and 2007, MCA JEE from 1998 to 2002, and serving as Nodal Officer for eAbhijog from 2016 to 2021 and for the Centre of Excellence since 2021. He has facilitated academic-industry interactions as the single point of contact for IMD New Delhi, the India Meteorological Department Bhubaneswar Met Centre, and Infosys Bhubaneswar DC, organizing soft skills and foundation programs in collaboration. Dr. Sethi has received three awards recognizing his contributions.
