Dr. Shanfei (Sophie) Feng is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Monash Business School, Monash University, where she also serves as Coordinator of the Honours program. Her teaching portfolio includes units such as Marketing Channels (MKX3481), Honours Research Thesis (MKX4900), Research in Marketing (MKX4040), Honours Thesis Research Proposal (MKX4090), and Managing Distribution Channels (MKF5761). These courses cover topics in marketing channels, empirical research methods, and advanced marketing strategy.
Feng's research focuses on business-to-business (B2B) services marketing, customer relationships, new product diffusion, and empirical modeling, with particular interest in the oil and gas industry. Her peer-reviewed publications appear in leading journals. Key works include 'Peak sales time prediction in new product sales: can a product manager rely on it?' (Journal of Business Research, 2023, with T. V. Krishnan and D. C. Jain); 'Contract length determination in the B2B service industry: role of economic factors, business relationship, and learning' (Journal of Service Research, 2022, with T. V.
