Rate My Professor Soe Win Naing

Dr. Soe Win Naing's research specializations center on semen cryopreservation and quality in goats and bucks, examining factors such as seminal plasma removal, washing solutions, centrifugation regimens, sugars, amino acids, antioxidants, temperature changes, and extenders like egg yolk citrate or skimmed milk. He has investigated ovarian antral follicular development, plasma IGF-1 concentrations, toxic effects of Leucaena leucocephala on goat semen, cystic ovarian disease in cows, and anesthetic protocols using propofol, thiopentone, ketamine in animals including bitches and foals. Key publications include: "Effect of seminal plasma removal, washing solutions, and centrifugation regimes on Boer goat semen cryopreservation" (Naing SW et al.); "Effects of Seminal Plasma and Temperature Changes on Qualities of Frozen-Thawed Semen Extended with Egg Yolk Citrate or Skimmed Milk Extender in Myanmar Local Bucks" (Hay Mar Kyaw et al., 2017); "Effects of Toxic Levels of Leucaena Leucocephala on Semen Quality of Goats in Myanmar" (Zun Zun Wut Hmohn et al., 2017); "Oxyntomodulin analog and exendin-4 derivative lower plasma glucose in cattle" (Than Than S et al., 2017); "Occurrence of cystic ovarian disease and characteristics of bovine ovaries in Myanmar local cows in Nay Pyi Taw area"; and "Clinical effect of propofol and thiopentone administered as total intravenous anaesthesia for surgical sterilization in local bitches." Additional works address effects of coconut water, sugars, and amino acids on goat semen viability during cryopreservation and vitrification.
