Dr. Shannon McMurtrey is an Associate Professor of Cyber-Risk Management in the Breech School of Business at Drury University, where he joined the faculty in 2016 and was promoted to his current rank in 2022. He launched his academic teaching career in 2002 at Missouri State University, earning the College of Business research award, directing the Computer Information Systems graduate program, and developing cybersecurity degree programs at both Missouri State University and Drury University.
