Seiya Kato, MD, is affiliated with the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University. His research focuses on liver diseases, including mechanisms of liver fibrogenesis and related pathways in congestive hepatopathy. He has contributed as lead author to publications such as the 2026 paper in Gastroenterology on the activation of the integrin αV–YAP–CTGF axis in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells.
