Seham Alraish is a visiting faculty member in the Department of Biology at the College of Science, United Arab Emirates University. She holds a PhD in Environmental Microbiology from United Arab Emirates University, awarded in 2021, and a master’s degree completed in 2015 in a clinical field focused on diet and athletic performance.
Her research centers on applied and environmental microbiology, microbial biotechnology, environmental health, and sustainability. Dr. Alraish has contributed to peer-reviewed publications on topics including antimicrobial resistance, probiotics and prebiotics, sustainable food systems, and related areas in environmental and occupational health. She also serves as an adjunct lecturer at Abu Dhabi University and has been affiliated with UAEU’s Department of Biology since at least 2023, where her teaching includes microbiology and plant biology courses.
