Rate My Professor Sean Bray

Sean Bray has managed the Chemistry departmental store since 2006, following predecessors Steven Gray (1975-2006), Jimmy Kerr (1982-2006), and Nigel Alefosio (2005-). This is documented in Chemistry in New Zealand, Volume 75, No. 3, July 2011, published by the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry, which notes that he and others have managed the store efficiently. In October 2018, the Department of Chemistry's Facebook page announced that Mike McKerchar joined as purchasing officer for the chemistry store, working alongside Sean Bray. Furthermore, Sean Bray is frequently acknowledged in PhD theses from the Department of Chemistry for his helpfulness and efficiency in providing stores support. Examples include acknowledgments in 'Modification of Stainless Steel by Grafting of Poly(ethylene glycol) Acrylate Copolymers', 'Copper speciation in different marine ecosystems around New Zealand', 'The Marine Biogeochemistry of Cadmium', 'Analysis of some edible shellfish species from Aotearoa New Zealand', and 'Low-Frequency Raman Spectroscopy in Pharmaceutical Applications'. His role supports the department's research and teaching activities.
