Satria Zulkarnaen Bisri is an Associate Professor in the Division of Applied Physics and Chemical Engineering at the Institute of Engineering, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. He holds a Doctor of Science degree from Tohoku University, awarded in 2011, following completion of the doctoral course in the Department of Physics at the Graduate School of Science. He also earned a master’s degree from the same department and institution in 2008 and a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Physics at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2006.
His career includes prior roles as Visiting Scientist and Senior Scientist at RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science, Visiting Associate Professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Research Scientist at RIKEN, and positions at the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials, University of Groningen, as well as graduate research assistantships at Tohoku University and Institut Teknologi Bandung. His research areas encompass nanotechnology and materials, applied condensed matter physics, electric and electronic materials, semiconductors, nanostructural physics, nanometer-scale chemistry, and nanomaterials. He leads the SustainablE quantuM nANomaTerials and devICes (SEMANTICS) research laboratory and has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications on topics such as colloidal quantum dot assemblies, photodetectors, and nanocrystal synthesis.
